Does anyone else think it’s strange that there are so many “new” studies on obesity, but not many solutions?

Above is the latest article relating to obesity, yet nothing in there really tells you how you are supposed to eat. Everything I’ve seen suggests a different specific type of diet, but not what you should do to begin with.

Does anyone know what a healthy person really should be consuming? What’s a workout that everyone should be doing?

I’m not looking to lose weight, but I am curious (and I know I’m not the only one) what the “healty” things are to do and eat.

All the new studies come from the fact that the number of young children that are now deemed ‘obese’ is rising steadily and also with all other age groups.

Healthy foods would consist of:

* High fibre cereal and skim or low fat milk
* Fruits
* Ryvita style crispbreads with a variety of toppings
* Fish
* Lean white meats
* Lean red meats
* Rice
* Wholegrain breads and cereals
* oh and drink water
* reduced the amount of processed sugars and saturated fats
* steamed vegetables

Of course exercise is also required but these days with computer use on the increase with children and the increased dangers to younger kids, playing in the park all day, riding bikes all day etc has decreased.

A recommended website which lists recommended dietary intake for adults and children is:

and for physical activity
