Black Jack-Amine
Hi Guys, My girlfriend and I are going to MGM casino of getting pair in blackjack weekend for Memorial Day and I wanted to hear some recent feedback of the place.
Reading online many people said it was very expensive table games.
We are interested in Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Pai Gow.
I would love to hear people opinion who went recently.
Any decent dinner places?
Update: Thanks everyone for their advice and suggestions!
This really is a great Washington DC community!
Also, comped drinks don't exist in Maryland.
So you will be paying for every drink you order at blackjack dc bocce tables, and they are not cheap.
The chocolate shop is pretty much the same as the one in blackjack dc bocce Bellagio.
I think the desserts are motor city casino video blackjack the price.
For a meal with sit-down service, choices are limited.
Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant already closed.
That leaves Jose Andres' FISH, and the Voltaggios' Steakhouse.
Both are pricey, but I can't comment on quality as I have not eaten at these two.
There is also TAP, but its a sports bar.
If choosing one of the first two, I would recommend reservations since it is a holiday weekend.
I gotta agree with.
MGM is a notorious gouger, so the table minimums are going to be jacked up for the holiday crowd.
Hi OP, just a heads up that National Harbor is not in DC but about 8 miles south in Maryland.
I normally wouldn't be pedantic about anything outside of the city limits but since National Harbor isn't on a train line either, it's worth pointing out.
Dammit, now I'm being pedantic.
Given the context of a tourist though, there's no reason to think he would be even remotely close to that area of DC.
Plan most of your visit to be enjoying other features at the Casino.
I see the Capital wheel is also something we can do.
We are not staying at MGM hotel but a nearby hotel.
Are you staying in the Harbor?
More than one night?
Old Town Alexandria is directly across the river.
Historic streets, homes, and museums.
Lots of bars and restaurants.
But it will be crazy crowded this weekend.
Tourists descend like locusts beginning with Memorial Day.
We are staying at Westin Washington National Hotel for only one night Sunday till Monday.
I have never been there before.
Any non-gambling activities that can be done blackjack dc bocce />After looking online, shopping seems to be pretty big around there.
Yeah, the main "sights" at National Harbor are the ferris wheel, the Gaylord Convention Center, and that half-buried statue on the river bank.
Otherwise, it is for shopping and chain restaurants.
However, I would recommend a water taxi ride to take in the sights along the Potomac.
There is a water taxi that runs from National Harbor to Old Town to DC and back again.
There are also dinner cruises that run the same route.
OP, definitely do it.
I'd suggest just blackjack dc bocce to Old Towne and walking around a bit.
Check out the Torpedo Factory.
It's an old Torpedo Factory that has been converted to a ton of small art galleries.
For as much as people complain about the minimums at the tables, both nights I have gone for dinner and a showthe place was an absolute madhouse.
Any decent dinner places?
If you can get a seat, the Maryland Fry Bar Fish Restaurant is really fun.
Not sure if it's too late to get a seat for the holiday weekend.
We are interested in Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Pai Gow.
It will likely be that way all weekend.
Sauce: I love to gamble and have been to the MGM several times since it opened.
